Interior decoration is one of the parts of the architecture. Architecture is an art of man at first devoted to the erection of tombs and temples which was changed to take care of comfort by providing with habitations. Interior decoration is the art of decorating a house or a room to make it attractive, easy to use and functions well with the existing architecture. The main aim of interior decoration is to provide comfort for the room by applying wallpaper, painting walls and other surfaces, choosing right furniture and fittings, such as light fittings, floor plans and providing other decorations for the area such as paintings, sculptures and carpets. The real aim of interior decoration is as remote from mere imitation as it is from mere eccentricity no other than the creation of a beautiful and fitting home. In a fine sense interior decoration is one of the creative arts.
